Dear Adventure Enthusiasts,

2012 is disappearing fast and we’ve had some great adventuring trips and experiences so far this year. But don’t worry if you missed out on them. There are many more to come!

Our Easter Adventure Camp was a great success. We spent the Easter long weekend down in Margaret River staying at the quiet and tranquil Glenbrook camping area. We spent our days adventuring around the Margaret River area doing some abseiling, caving and kayaking. We had fantastic weather for all our activities and most of the time we had the locations to ourselves, which is a rare treat at Easter time down south! There will be some photos and more info about our Easter adventures on the Friends of Adventure website soon.

The FoA website now has some of our upcoming events listed. If you go to the Event Listing page you will get up-to-date information about the coming events being run by FoA. We have a Vertical Rescue training session coming up on Saturday May 12th at Boya Quarry in the hills. This activity is being run for people that want to get some rescue qualifications for their Abseiling or Rock Climbing Skill Sets from the Outdoor Recreation Package. This session is also suitable for people who want to take their abseiling skills to the next level and learn how to self-rescue and rescue others. The day’s activities can be used as PD or as log book time. If you want to be formally assessed towards the Vertical Rescue Unit you will need to be an enrolled student with our affiliate training provider Fairbridge. See the Friends of Adventure website for more information about how this works.

Here is a list of our coming events. If you want to come on any of these events you can let us know by replying to this email or booking through the website.
