Advanced Vertical Rescue 2013

Vertical Rescue Training II

This event adds to skills learned at Boya Quarry earlier this year. But have no fear. Even if you missed out on this occasion you can still join us for the next level up.

In addition to prusiking you’ll also get a chance to practice stretcher hauling on a cliff face and much more. This is hard core abseil training at its best. Expect to have a good workout and lots of fun at the same time. There is no minimum experience level to take part but basic fitness would help. Enrolled outdoor students can also come for refresher or PD and fill up their log book time.

  • Set up haul kits
  • Methods of 1 on 1 rescue
  • Recover unconscious casualty
  • Prusik and change to second rope
